Unlike a number of our competitors, we do not only just integrate open-source projects. We are either the founders, or major contributors, of the open-source projects we use. In addition, we created and released, a multimedia framework under an open-source license, suitable for professional applications.
OpenHeadend is the driving force behind the “Upipe” open-source project. It is an innovative multimedia framework allowing to build complex and custom video processing pipelines. Most of OpenHeadend functions are based on pipelines built with Upipe.
OpenHeadend can offer consultancy and development works on the project, for instance by creating a video processing solution tailored for your needs, or adding support for a particular hardware extension.

Web browser plug-in and Automatic Multicast Tunneling
We are working on a Google Chrome plug-in based on Upipe, that would allow to display all formats and protocols supported by Upipe.
One of these protocols is Automatic Multicast Tunneling, a new protocol created to extend multicast distribution in network areas where multicast is not handled.
The European Broadcasting Union recently set up a Cisco ASR 1001 which acts as an open AMT relay. You can find a sample widget here. For more information, please visit the EBU IO service (you need to create a free account).
